Gray filter for signal attenuation, double or quad

In some cases of application it is helpful to reduce the signal level of the laser distance sensors in order to avoid measuring errors caused by an overload of the receiver diode. This depends on how strongly the target reflects the transmitted laser beam.
For the laser distance sensors of the LDM4x series there are gray filters with double and quad attenuation available. They are mounted directly on the tube of the measuring devices together with an adapter, inclined at 10%.
Two spacer rings provided with the product facilitate exact alignment of the inclined surface to the measuring device.
The filter glass has been provided with a broadband sevenfold anti-reflective coating for operation in industrial environments. The additional, uppermost layer is characterized by an increased level of hardness as well as water and dirt-repellent qualities, which ease the cleaning of the gray filter substantially.
