Cromlaview Software CR-Tool

The free standard software CR-Tool, which ASTECH provides with all color sensors, facilitates parameterization of the CROMLAVIEW® color sensors. Besides setting the parameters of the sensor, the taught-in color values can be displayed in a graph and a table.
The software CromlaWatch is used for the documentation of color values in ongoing processes, such as color monitoring of moving belts or monitoring of the color of sewage. It displays the course of color changes, which is documented and can then be saved in files.

The connection to the PC via RS232 (left) or USB connection (right) can be selected on the start screen of the CR-Tool. Baud rate, sensor address and COM port can be set for an RS232 connection. The corresponding device can be selected for the USB connection.

The sensor ID, which contains the serial number and type of the CROMLAVIEW® color sensor, can be read out for both connection types. The firmware available in the device is also displayed.

The setup page shows the input signals of the three-channel color sensors for both color channels so that a meaningful setting can be made. The brightness of the lighting, the input amplification, measuring frequency and averaging as well as the color space mode can be set on this page. In addition, a white balance and a measurement channel compensation can be set for the CR200 dual-channel color sensor.

Colors can be taught and displayed on the Teach-In page. With the multi-teach method, even average values can be recorded over several measured values. The taught-in colors are displayed in a table and a diagram. The status of the colour sensor outputs is also visualized. A further display provides information on the color difference between the current and next taught-in color. It is also possible to save the sensor parameters in the color sensor and in a file, as well as to export the color table to an Excel-compatible CSV file in this window.
