The AC5 blower air generator is a unit for the external fresh air supply of a VLM device. An air hose, which also carries the power and signal cables, supplies the VLM in the protective housing with externally drawn ambient air. The length of the air hose, and therefore the length of the cables, can be tailored to customer requirements. A main switch and a switch for activating the fan are located on the front door of the AC5. The cabinet is designed for wall mounting. All device connections of the VLM can be accessed via cable bushings in the base of the AC5 on an internal terminal row.

Air is drawn in via an easily accessible air filter, which should be cleaned at regular intervals depending on the environmental situation.
