Description:
For three-quarters of all Germans, yolk color is the most important criterion for assessing egg quality. The yolk color depends on the amount and mixture of carotenoids in the feed of the laying hens. In the analysis, a 15-step color fan (Hoffmann La Roche) has prevailed, starting with a pale yellow, over a darker yellow to an orange tone. With the CROMLAVIEW® color sensors, an automated and error-free classification of the egg yolk color is possible. In binary mode, all 15 colors can be displayed with only four switching outputs.
