Description:
Sand and other bulk solids are often stored in silos. The laser distance sensors of the type LDM41A are used there to monitor the fill level. Via the freely programmable analog output (4mA ... 20mA) they provide the superior control with distance information continuously. From the measured distance between the measuring device and the surface, the fill level and/or the volume can easily be calculated. The LDM41A measures reliably on almost any solid natural surface, such as sand, cement, plastic granulate, forage or wood pellets.
